Audra Langford is a recurring minor character in Dimension Cops. She is the Director of the Alternative Realities Police Department, she is from UD106.[1] A strict woman when it comes to her job, Langford is not unwilling to make compromises when it comes to the lives of others.

Director Langford gives the secretary Jaguar Travis the job of investigating the anomalous readings their routine scans picked up in UD106, timecode 19920817-1620. The A.R.P.D. has been short staffed since the death of Officer Cavanaugh, but she doesn't tell Travis that her death has now made him the leading expert on the crime lord Gunther Pennyskink. Instead, she leaves it to their operative in UD106, codenamed Delta, to debrief Travis on his case.[2]

When Travis arrives with Roxana Ellsworth, the anomaly he was sent to investigate, in tow, she takes them and Agent Delta into her office to hear them all out.[4] Delta wants Travis to terminate Ellsworth, because universes reject people and things not native to them - The foreign quarks cause the dimension to destabilize and collapse. Returning her home isn't an option, because according to the information available to Delta, Ellsworth's universe UD17071 no longer supports human life, and opening a portal to it would endanger the originating universe. Travis, however, is opposed to killing Ellsworth, and argues vehemently against it.[3]

Director Langford decides to reveal top secret, classified information to them, to quell the argument. UD17071 actually appears to be Gunther Pennyskink's base of operations, so the real reason that they cannot open a portal there is because any interference in that dimension might tip Pennyskink off to the fact that the A.R.P.D. is onto him, and make him jump realities. She also does not want to terminate Ellsworth, and they can't send the girl home until the crime lord is taken care of, so Director Langford chooses a delaying tactic. She assigns Ellsworth to Travis as a temporary field officer until the A.R.P.D. is ready to move on Pennyskink, which would allow Ellsworth to hop dimensions, but not stay long enough to destabilize them.[4]
